Left chest wall palpable mass.
Patient Data
A 70×28 mm subcutaneous well defined enhancing soft tissue density mass is present at left posterolateral aspect of chest wall.
Case Discussion
Pathology report :
Microscopic: Sections show skin tissue with proliferation of spindle cells in dermis arranged as storiform pattern and reveal mild nuclear pleomorphism and scattered mitoses.
Diagnosis: Consistent with dermatofibrosarcoma protuberance.
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a low-grade malignant tumor arising from dermal and subcutaneous tissues and is the most common cutaneous sarcoma most commonly found at the trunk and proximal extremities
