Presentation

Progressive painless swelling of the anterolateral aspect of the left mid-thigh.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

well-defined lobulated soft tissue mass of the anterolateral aspect of the left mid-thigh arising from the skin and subcutaneous tissue. It displays a low signal on T1, an intermediate signal on T2 and a high signal on STIR with vivid homogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences. No involvement of the adjacent vastus lateralis muscle.
