Dermoid cyst

There is a large multicomponent, lobulated, well encapsulated mass lesion seen in relation to the left adnexa. It occupies the anterior abdomen displacing the adjacent bowel to the right side, and compresses both distal ureters causing mild hydroureteronephrosis. This lesion shows no enhancement and is predominantly of fat density containing calcifications and a fluid-fat level. It measures 18 x 8 x 16 cm. It is consistent with mature cystic ovarian teratoma.
Case Discussion
The multiple components (fat, fluid and calcification with fat-fluid level) make the diagnosis of dermoid cyst almost certain. These are also known as mature cystic teratomas.
