Dermoid cyst of floor of mouth
Presentation
A 13 year old child developed fever and headache. Her parents noticed a swelling below the jaw and visited the physician. Clinically a cystic midline swelling moving with deglutition was palpable in the submental region with suspicious extension into sublingual space. An MRI and a fine needle cytology was requested for.

MRI plain and contrast of the head and neck revealed a T1 and T2 bright midline lesion in the submental region extending into the sublingual space which is fat suppressed and does not reveal any enhancement. A differential of dermoid/epidermoid was suggested.
Case Discussion
Excision of the lesion confirmed a diagnosis of Dermoid cyst of the floor of mouth
