65 x 76 x 95 mm well defined thin-walled complex cystic lesion with fat-fluid level and calcification occupying the left adnexal region.
Case Discussion
Dermoid cysts are a term used almost always interchangeably with mature cystic teratomas. Dermoids derive from more than one germ layer and they can include hair, fat, muscle, teeth, skin and endocrine tissue. A fat-fluid level is diagnostic and found in 12% of ovarian dermoids. CT findings of a dermoid cyst are fat attenuation within a cyst and may be associated with calcification or a fat-fluid level.
