The swelling measured 1.1 x 1.5 cms with the base in frontal bones. Bone window showed the typical punched-out area, with margins well defined. The average CT value of the mass was -15 HU suggesting fat elements. There was also a central hyperdense focus measuring 6 mm with CT value of +60 HU.
Case Discussion
A three years old female child was referred for evaluation of a small midline scalp swelling in the region of bregma. CT shows a fat-containing lesion with a calcific focus, in keeping with dermoid cyst.
