Aneurysm of the descending thoracic aorta with a diameter of 45 mm over a length of 50 mm. Note that both subclavian arteries (left > right) are also dilated.
Case Discussion
Thoracic aortic aneurysms are relatively uncommon compared to their counterparts below the diaphragm (see abdominal aortic aneurysm), but have a wider range of causes.
