Painful anterior abdominal wall swelling
Patient Data
A well-defined midline anterior abdominal wall soft tissue lesion is noted at lower abdomen infra-umbilical region. It is averaging 6.2x4.8x7.3 cm in dimensions. It shows homogeneous attenuation with mild postcontrast enhancement. Clear surrounding fat planes.
Case Discussion
This case represents a pathologically proven desmoid tumor (full report is not available). Desmoid tumor is the commonest neoplasms of the abdominal wall. It is more common in females in the age period between 20 and 40 years. Usually, it shows homogeneous texture, well-defined border and mild postcontrast enhancement.
