Localized swelling of the abdominal wall

Patient Data

Age: 25 years old
Gender: Female

Focal enlargement of the left rectus abdominus muscle with smooth outline and no evidence of stranding of the adjacent fat or invasion of the adjacent structures. The lesion is isodense to the surroudning muscles with central hypodensity.

Case Discussion

Desmoid tumor is benign fibroelastic tumor with potential local invasion and recurrence after excision. unfortunately the pathology of this lesion wasn't available and other differential diagnosis include lymphoma, sarcoma and metastasis.
