Case Discussion
Detectors require quality assurance of radiographic equipment is undertaken and calibration of hardware. Specially designed phantoms to test aspects such as line pairs per millimeter. In the absence of these tools, everyday objects can be used to test for artefacts, collimation inconsistencies or test images to compare to high-quality monitors.
Overall it is still recommended to use specific phantoms for repeatable, reliable quality assurance.
