Developmental dysplasia of the hip

Asymmetric gait with limping on the right associated with pain and swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 21 months
Gender: Female

The right acetabulum is shallow and dysplastic.

There is superolateral displacement of right femoral head and neck. The right femoral head is smaller as compared to left. The femoral neck is also deformed.

The left femoral head is of normal size and is properly aligned with the acetabulum.

Features are compatible with developmental dysplasia of the right hip.
