Left acetabular dysplasia, deformed flattened small left femoral head and upward shift of the left femur (chronic hip dislocation) with pseudoarticulation of the left femoral head with the ilium in keeping with long-standing developmental dysplasia of the hip.
Secondary left lower limb shortening is seen.
Case Discussion
Acetabular dysplasia usually predisposes to developmental dysplasia of the hip joint. It could be congenital or secondary to trauma or septic arthritis. This is a long-standing untreated case and the cause was not known.
