Left parietal linear abnormal signal appears isointense in T1WIs and hyperintense in T2 as well as FLAIR with ehnancemnet in post contrast series. It has a typical 'palm tree' shape typical of a venous angioma aka developmental venous anomaly (DVA).
Case Discussion
Developmental venous anomalies are common and are in the vast majority of cases completely asymptomatic. As such they should not be confused with a symptomatic abnormality and care should be taken in the report to ensure this is communicated to the clinician who may not be familiar with the entity.
