Within the right frontal lobe are 2 prominent vascular structures which form a result of the confluence of a number of smaller vessels in drain superiorly, and anteriorly into the superior sagittal sinus. On MRA there is no arterialized flow, no enlargement of the anterior circulation vessels. No nidus can be identified, and no evidence of previous hemorrhage. These are characteristic of developmental venous anomalies and do not represent arteriovenous malformation.

The remainder of the brain is unremarkable in appearance, with no other vascular malformations identified.

Case Discussion

Typical appearances of large developmental venous anomalies.
