PA and lateral projections. Lungs and pleural space are clear. Pleural thickening within the right apex has remained unchanged. Left hemidiaphragm posterior eventration is again noted. Cardiomediastinal contours have normal appearances. No subphrenic free gas. No suspicious bone lesions.
Case Discussion
Radiographs showing a lobular elevation with a smooth hump-like morphology of posterior left hemidiaphragm.
This patient has kept this left diaphragm appearance since her first imaging at our hospital, and this was confirmed to represents only an eventration of the diaphragm on previous CT images of the abdomen.
Eventration is, unlike this case, frequently seen in the anteromedial portion of the right hemidiaphragm.
