CT of the thoracic spine demonstrates bone spur at the level of T10 and T11 which splits the dural sac. Also, T11 has a butterfly vertebral body shape.
Vertebral hemangioma of vertebral body T8, T12 and L1 with a typical "polka dotted" appearance on axial scans.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates diastematomyelia (split cord malformation) with butterfly vertebra of T11. The patient is lucky not to have any symptoms.
Also, the patient has vertebral hemangiomas.
