There is a single live intra-uterine fetus with growth corresponding to period of amenorrhea. There is the duplication of the spinal cord in lower dorsal level. However, there is no echogenic bony spur between two cords.
There is no open spina bifida. The cistern magna is normal. There is no hydrocephalus.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound findings favor diastematomyelia without a bony (echogenic) spur between the two cords. Postnatal ultrasound and MRI workup were recommended.
