Case Discussion

this case represents diastematomyelia type 1, characterised by a duplicated dural sac separated by a midline bony or fibrous spur. Associated vertebral anomalies and hydromyelia are also observed in this case.

In patients with scoliosis, it is essential to investigate for segmentation anomalies and diastematomyelia, as these conditions are commonly associated.
