Ultrasonography

ultrasound

These ultrasound images show a dichorionic diamniotic twin pregnancy.

Two separate placentae are detected with a thick inter-twin membrane.

Both fetuses are of the same sex (males), so it is not possible to determine if it is a monozygotic or dizygotic pregnancy.

Intact cord insertion can be seen to exclude cord anomalies.
