Dichorionic tri-amniotic (DCTA) triplets

Presentation

Amenorrhoea.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Transvaginal ultrasound shows a triplet pregnancy with a single triplet on the right side, in a separate chorionic sac and the monochorionic pair on the left side of the uterus with visible, thin amniotic membrane between them. 

Case Discussion

Gestational age is 9 weeks 2 days. Establishment of chorionicity and amnionicity is easiest in early pregnancy.
