Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Neck pain and stiffness.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Male

Flowing ossification of the anterior longitudinal ligament, in front of the C2 to C7 cervical vertebral bodies and probably extending beyond, which is consistent with diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH).

Case Discussion

Presented for cervical spine radiography, because of intermittent neck pain and stiffness. His symptoms are probably due to conjoined degenerative spine disease, so these findings may be considered as incidental. Treatment is symptomatic.
