Enlarged uterus with diffuse thickening of the endometrial-myometrial junctional zone up to 22 mm of intermediate signal on T1, homogeneous low signal intensity on T2 with foci of high signal within, indicating menstrual hemorrhage into the ectopic endometrial tissues in keeping with diffuse adenomyosis. Moderate thickening of the endometrium with bleeding within the uterine cavity of high signal on T1 and low signal on T2.
Normal appearances of both ovaries.
