Presentation

Infertility with menorrhagia. Enlarged uterus on ultrasound.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

  • diffuse enlargement of the fundus and body of the uterus with a thickened inner myometrium and multiple T2 hyperintense foci within it

  • the junctional zone is ill-defined

  • multiple uterine fibroids

  • the endometrial cavity is unremarkable.

  • marked and diffuse uterine enlargement with mild heterogeneous enhancement after contrast injection.

  • pelvic and subhepatic free fluid

  • incidental hydatid cyst located in the right lobe of the liver (segment VI)
