An enlarged uterus (measuring about 75 x 95 x 110 mm) showing diffuse asymmetrical thickening of the junctional zone (more posteriorly) with multiple small T2 hyperintense foci throughout the fundus and body myometrium.
Two small myometrial fibroids up to 12 mm are also seen within the anterior and posterior uterine walls.
Case Discussion
MRI demonstrates an enlarged uterus associated with thickening and blurring of the junctional zone with multiple T2 hyperintense foci consistent with adenomyosis.
