Discoid lateral meniscus tear

Presentation

Right knee pain for one year following the sport. No response to medical treatment.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
MRI

The discoid appearance of the lateral meniscus is evident. It has linear abnormal high signal intensity band through both horns and meniscal body on PD and T2. Associated parameniscal cysts are seen close to the anterior and posterior horns of the lateral meniscus. Multiple ganglion cysts are seen.
