Hand injury. Deformed 2nd finger.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Dorsal dislocation of the index finger DIP joint. Small volar avulsion fracture of the base of the distal phalanx.

Case Discussion

This case is an excellent example of why it is essential to have at least 2 orthogonal views of a fracture or dislocation.
