Presentation

Dislocation of right shoulder. Postoperative imaging for arthroplasty.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

This is status post right reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. There is an anterior dislocation of the right glenohumeral joint. There is no evidence of fracture.

Case Discussion

Dislocation is a common complication among arthroplasty, ranging from from rates of 1.5 to 31% 1. Types of complication are often based on the prosthesis used 2. Arthroplasty refers to restoring the function of a joint through surgical reconstruction or replacement.
