Prior hip surgery. Fall. DIsfigured hip and unable to walk.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Posterior dislocation of the right hip prosthesis.

No periprosthetic fracture.

Unremarkable left hip.

Case Discussion

Despite the deep ball and socket nature of total hip prostheses, as with native hips, these can dislocate.
