Displaced surgical clip in the right abdomen laterally to ascending colon.

Case Discussion

Surgical clips are applied during cholecystectomy on the cystic duct and artery.

Rarely one or more clips can get displaced. This is usually 'dropped' during this laproscopic procedure. In most of the cases it does not result in complications, however intra abdominal abscess formation was reported in literature.
