Presentation

Acute thigh pain.

Patient Data

Age: 13 years
Gender: Female

Expansile, destructive lesion affected the distal femoral shaft with a pathological fracture. Periosteal reaction (with Codman's triangle). Associated soft tissue component.

Pathologically proven osteosarcoma of the distal femur with typical location and appearance.
