Fall, twisted ankle, heard crack, painful to weight bear.

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

Ankle radiographs

x-ray

Mildly displaced oblique fracture of left distal fibula at the level of the syndesmosis (Weber B).
No talar shift.

Case Discussion

Distal fibula fracture, a common fracture. Useful to describe relationship with the distal tibio-fibular syndesmosis as this aligns with Weber classification which guides management.
