Presentation

CF patient. ? Small bowel obstruction

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

Dilated small bowel with fecalization of the mid and distal small bowel. No transition point. Feces present throughout the large bowel including the rectum. Small volume intraperitoneal free fluid within the right iliac fossa and pelvis. Fatty replacement of the pancreas. Appearance is most in keeping with distal intestinal obstruction syndrome in a patient with known cystic fibrosis.
