Presentation

History of the hammer hit while working, on examination: left index finger- near total amputation at the pulp region, underlying structures exposed, and bleeding.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

The X-ray shows a non-displaced fracture at the distal phalanx of the left index finger.

Lacerated, swollen soft tissue is seen. 

Case Discussion

The important thing, in this case, is the preservation of soft tissues.
