Presentation

History of crush injury over the dorsal aspect of distal phalanx of right middle and ring fingers, crushing of distal fingertips between the metal door and its frame, on examination: swelling and pain at the site of trauma with partial nail avulsion.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
x-ray
  • comminuted fractures at the tips of the distal phalanx of both middle and ring fingers
  • soft tissue shadows appear swollen.

This patient has got an injury during the work, he was not using the personal protection equipment.
