Presentation

Steel weight hit on the finger and wounded at 3.30 pm today, pain swelling and wound over the finger, on examination: the left index distal phalanx shows swelling and tenderness, laceration 2cm, bleeding, nail intact, pain on movements.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
x-ray
  • Fracture at the tip of the distal phalanx of the left index finger.
  • Soft tissue shadows appear mildly swollen.

Case Discussion

This patient has got an injury during the work, he was not using the personal protection equipment.
