Presentation

The patient is complaining of pain in the left ring finger after being caught in a machine today at work, on examination: crush injury distal 3rd of the left ring finger.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

X-ray shows a non-displaced fracture in the distal phalanx of the left ring finger.

Case Discussion

Distal phalanx fractures are the most common fractures in the hand.

This patient has got an injury during the work, he was not using the personal protection equipment.
