Presentation

The patient had a trauma by hammer object accidentally at work, on examination: there is pain and swelling over left thumb distal phalanx with nail bed hematoma, no open injury or deformity or foreign body sensation.

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
x-ray
  • X-ray shows chip fracture at the tip of the distal phalanx of the left thumb finger.
