Direct trauma on the left hand.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Minimally displaced intra-articular spiral fracture through the left ring finger base to the mid-diaphysis.

Case Discussion

Distal phalanx fractures are amongst the most common fractures in the hand.

The important point in the recent case is that any suspected fracture must be checked in at least 2 views.
