There is a fracture of the lateral portion of the distal radius that is intra-articular and obliquely oriented additionally, the lateral projection there is a small bony fragment that can be seen over the dorsal region of the wrist representative of an avulsion fracture of the triquetral bone.
Case Discussion
Beware the satisfaction of search, triquetral bone fractures are commonly seen on the lateral projection as a subtle bony fragment laying over the dorsal aspect of the wrist.
