Presentation

Left pelvic pain.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
ct

Distal colonic diverticulosis, accompanied by segmental wall thickening at the distal descending and sigmoid colon with surrounding fat stranding. No intra-abdominal free air or collections are noted.

Small amount free fluid is present in pelvis, especially at the posterior cul-de-sac. 

 

Case Discussion

Localized distal descending colonic and proximal sigmoid colonic diverticulitis without perforation or pericolonic collection.
