Extraluminal gas with surrounding inflammatory fat stranding and adjacent thickening of the sigmoid colon.

Findings are typical for diverticulitis. The pericolic extraluminal gas indicates diverticular perforation, and the fat stranding and bowel wall thickening are indicative of inflammation.
