Work up for chronic constipation.

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
Fluoroscopy

Elongation of the colon is present, particularly at descending and sigmoid portions accompanied by the transverse colon ptosis.

Case Discussion

Dolichocolon is an elongation of the colon, most often involving the descending and sigmoid segments, resulting in flexures, loops, and kinks in the lumen of the gut that may cause chronic constipation.
