Chronic constipation.

Elongation of the colon is present particularly at descending and sigmoid portions accompanied by mild dilatation of the affected segment.

Case Discussion

Dolichocolon is an elongation of the colon, most often involving one segment, usually the descending and sigmoid, resulting in flexures, loops, and kinks in the lumen of the gut. This may be accompanied by dilatation of the affected segment.
