Elongation of the colon is present, particularly at descending and sigmoid portions accompanied by dilatation of the affected segment.
Case Discussion
Dolichocolon is an elongation of the colon, most often involving one segment, usually the descending and sigmoid, known as dolicosigmoid, resulting in flexures, loops, and kinks in the gut's lumen. Dilatation of the affected segment may accompany this.
