Presentation

Recurrent mild ill-ness as per parents. No abdominal pain/ vomiting/ fever at the time of presentation.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

The uncinate process and head of the pancreas show normal echopattern. The body, as well as the tail of the pancreas, are absent.

The rest of the abdominal ultrasound study was normal.

Abdominal ultrasound in a girl demonstrates a rare incidental finding of dorsal pancreatic agenesis.
