A well-defined cystic lesion with lobulated outline is noted at the wrist just dorsal to the extensor tendons of the hand. It has a deep extension reaching the extensor retinaculum over the capitate. It has homogeneous fluid signals with a hypointense signal on T1 and hyperintense signal on T2.
Imaging features are consistent with a ganglion cyst at the dorsum of the wrist. The wrist is one of its commonest sites.
