Modality: CT

Case Discussion

FINDINGS:
Barium Swallow
Posterior indentation on oesophagus.
Possible anterior indentation on oesophagus.

CT Scan
Double aortic arch.
Dominant right arch.
Left subclavian and common carotid arteries arise from left arch.
Right subclavian and common carotid arteries arise from the right arch.

LIKELY DIAGNOSIS:
Double aortic arch.

FURTHER INVESTIGATION/MANAGEMENT:
Specialist review.
Echocardiogram - for other cardiac anomalies.
