Intra and extra-hepatic bile ducts are dilated, and CBD is measured 20 mm in caliber. No CT-detectable stone or enhancing mass is noted within the CBD. In addition, the pancreatic duct is dilated up to 12 mm.
Case Discussion
Biliary and pancreatic ducts' simultaneous dilatation, known as the double duct sign, generally represents a malignant cause until disproved.
The patient underwent an ERCP, and a small ampullary adenocarcinoma was confirmed with histopathology evaluation.
