Case Discussion
Known case for Duchenne muscular dystrophy on a wheelchair for 6 years.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is inherited in an X-linked recessive pattern and is considered the most common muscular dystrophy characterized by progressive muscle weakness with fatty replacement of muscle that begins in early childhood. Typically affects the proximal lower limb and truncal muscles, but eventually, there is progression to upper limb muscles and extremities. Associated hepatic steatosis was also described in literature 1.
