Patient Data

Age: 45
Gender: Female

The magnification MLO view of the left breast shows typical calcifications highly suggestive of DCIS. The calcifications have a linear distribution with differing densities and morphologies (pleomorphism). The distribution is limited to the upper outer quadrant of the breast. Note, the calcifications are projected over an area of increased density, which raises suspicion of an underlying mass.

Ultrasound of the left breast showed this hypoechoic poorly circumscribed, solid, non compressible lesion contains micro calcification in the upper outer quadrant. No flow on doppler seen.
